I interviewed for SAIC’s Software Engineer role with a more structured technical sequence, and it centered on Java web fundamentals with a short LeetCode-style start.

Technical round — I answered a small set of easy database and general Java questions; it also included a practical walkthrough of building a webpage login screen.
Architect interview — I then spoke with an architect, continuing around the same theme of web/login fundamentals and related Java knowledge. Outcome: No offer, and the takeaway was that being comfortable from basics through common frameworks (including login flow) was crucial.
