Huntsville, ALPosted May 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for a Software Engineer position with SAIC in an overall straightforward, mostly conversational process, and it took a few days from round to round.

Behavioral + light technical screen — I walked through my resume and answered job-related conceptual questions; there wasn’t any coding involved.
Standard recruiter/early technical Q&A — I started with the usual prompts (background and future plans), then answered basics around OOP and fundamentals in Java/C++. Outcome: No offer, and the takeaway was that staying crisp on core OOP concepts and explaining my experience clearly mattered most.
