I went through an interview experience that leaned heavily on low-stakes conversation and prior fit, with little technical testing.

Career-fair / event-style chat — at a career event, I had a short conversation focused on my software experience from school or an internship, with lots of resume discussion.
Invite-only job fair (relate my SE experience) — in another event setting, I was asked to describe my software engineering experience and quickly felt they were interested.
Getting-to-know-you conversation — for a contract-position referral, the interview was essentially a friendly fit check, including discussion of how polygraph screening worked.
Customer + program manager confirmation — in one
