I interviewed for the SAIC Software Engineer role in a comparatively efficient sequence where early impressions seemed to speed things up, and I moved from recruiter contact to the hiring team and then toward an offer.

HR recruiter screen / in-person initial — I had an early HR conversation and/or brief in-person discussion covering my resume and explaining the role.
Hiring team interview — I expanded on resume details in depth; it was more about my background and communication than technical testing.
Hiring manager / offer path — In one case, a planned additional interview was skipped because my hiring team interaction went well, moving directly toward an offer stage. Outcome: No offer, but the takeaway was that strong resume storytelling and interview presence could shorten the loop.
