Reston, VAPosted Mar 2021 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through a simple, low-friction interview flow for a Software Engineer role with easy difficulty, mostly centered on fit and targeted technical questioning, and I did not move forward to an offer.

Hiring-manager interview — I discussed where I’d fit in the organization and what responsibilities I was aiming to own.
Technical questions through a conversation — I was asked questions tied to the technologies the team cared about most; once they felt I had the core know-how, the interview shifted toward an informal chat. Outcome: No offer; the technical portion was lighter and mostly used to confirm foundational familiarity.
