I interviewed for a Software Engineer role with average difficulty where I had meaningful two-way discussion about my ability to deliver, paired with targeted web and Java technical questions.

Informal capability-focused interview — I talked through what I could deliver, and it stayed conversational with good back-and-forth.
Phone interview with manager and project leads — we discussed my experience and previous projects, then moved into technical questions around Java and web topics like HTML and JavaScript. Outcome: No offer; the technical part was practical and tied closely to my project history.
