I went through a manager-and-technical sequence where the technical part and a late, hostile-feeling manager interaction made it stressful.

HR interview — An HR round preceded the technical work.
Technical interview — I faced an awkward, hard-to-read exercise with limited guidance and no clear feedback.
Manager interview — A manager arrived late and later seemed to use it as a “stress test,” which felt dishonest and disrespectful.
No additional manager round — An additional manager interview was expected but didn’t happen in this account. Outcome: I wasn’t selected; the takeaway was that unclear exercise dynamics and perceived games during manager rounds can heavily affect the experience.
