I interviewed with an unusual start—an external challenge—and then moved into a conversational technical discussion with senior leadership.

External challenge — The process began by solving a challenge posted publicly (city-wide).
Interview with leadership present — I discussed my software development history, education, qualifications, expectations, and salary.
Technical portion — Interviewers (including the CEO/architect) engaged in an open, back-and-forth technical discussion. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer; the interview felt open and senior-led rather than strictly procedural.
