I went through a smaller number of rounds where the conversations felt more like technical chats, but at least one stage became intense.

Two rounds of interviews (chat-like) — one technical round included some coding, and I didn’t feel I answered everything fully.
Hiring-manager-heavy session (formal/intense) — questions about work habits, prior employer, and site/time context in a very strict format. Outcome: No offer; the experience ranged from conversational to highly formal, with difficulty that spiked at the hiring-manager stage.
