Swiggy hires Software Engineer roles through a structured technical loop plus a final hiring manager discussion. Across candidate reports and the extracted topics, the technical portion is centered on DSA and low-level design, with explicit attention to implementation thinking and how you reason under constraint.
What you are actually tested on is a mix of core coding fundamentals and how you translate an algorithm into components. The dominant topics are Low Level Design (LLD), Notification System Design, and Data Structures & Algorithms, with Java and frameworks like Spring Boot also showing up prominently, plus problem solving and communication skills.
The process is not just “interview then done.” Reports describe multi-stage waits after technical rounds, where candidates finished DSA and LLD and then sat for an update period before hearing back. One report also describes a loop that stretched to about eight weeks from the initial recruiter call to final offer rollout, and another describes a timeline closer to three weeks.
The LLD portion is not only about producing a design, it also includes back-and-forth probing where you have to defend your reasoning and clarify interfaces, data modeling, and edge cases.
