I interviewed for SAIC as a Software Engineer in a three-round process that balanced people fit and technical familiarity, and it ended with an odd timing issue.

Round 1 (people + technical) — I went through interview questions mixing soft skills and technical familiarity; the technical questions were mostly about whether I’d worked with certain things before.
Round 2 (additional people/technical check) — More of the same fit-and-familiarity style, without deep verification of answers.
Round 3 (offer process complication) — I received a verbal offer, but later it was canceled before an offer letter was issued. Outcome: No offer, and the takeaway was that verbal progress didn’t guarantee closure until paperwork arrived.
