A recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn and wanted to learn about my background and skills.

The call centered on where I might fit within the company as an engineer, and we also discussed my future expectations.

They asked whether I was being recruited by other companies or if I had other contacts going on at the time. It was a straightforward kind of screening, more about matching me to potential needs than diving into deep assessment.

I didn’t end up receiving an offer, but the experience was simple and easy to follow. The reflection I had afterward was that it was about fit and timing, and not about proving anything technical.
