Instacart Software Engineer interview experience

The coding rounds were structured as two separate exercises, but the second one stood out because the interviewer was non-interactive and essentially told me to make my own assumptions rather than helping steer the problem.

I got rejected after that, and I was also told there was a one-year cooldown for the same position. What I remember most was how quickly the process moved to a hard stopping point once that style of interaction showed up in the second coding round.
