Newport News, VAPosted Oct 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I completed an easy virtual recording interview for Software Engineer at HII, but the timeline to hear back was extremely long.

Virtual interview recording — basic questions with only one or two behavioral prompts; I had multiple attempts per question to practice.
Long wait — I interviewed in early November and didn’t hear anything until mid-March, so late that I stopped believing I would be selected.

Outcome: No offer; despite a structured recording and multiple attempts, the delayed communication made the process hard to gauge.
