Hanover, MDPosted Jul 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for the Software Engineer role at HII through a clearly structured three-step process that stayed pleasant and mostly straightforward.

Phone screen #1 — discussed my experience and interest in the project/role.
Phone screen #2 — a light behavioral and technical interview with very easy CS-style questions.
Final panel (software engineers) — met with 2–3 software engineers for deeper technical questioning based on my experience, with slightly harder CS questions.

Outcome: No offer; overall it was well-run and respectful, but I wasn’t selected to advance.
