Newport News, VAPosted Feb 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I had an interview experience at HII that was mostly single-touch and role overview driven, though one application attempt felt especially underwhelming.

Hiring manager phone call (~30–45 minutes) — they explained the role and company, then asked for a general overview of my experience; there were no later face-to-face interviews and an offer was sent after the phone call.
Standard internal interview (unspecified) — one attempt didn’t add much detail and ended with a quick rejection after previously being declined.

Outcome: Mixed; one path ended with an offer after the phone call, while another didn’t progress.
