Negative

United StatesPosted May 2015 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I had one distinctly negative interview experience where the tone felt hostile from the start, unlike the easier, more supportive journeys.

In-person meeting with a hostile hiring manager — I met with the hiring manager, but the interaction felt derogatory and negative; they scrutinized my background and questioned it as if it wasn’t sufficient.
Culture signal — I left disappointed and uncomfortable, and the mood in the building felt unfriendly when I arrived.
Outcome: I didn’t move forward; takeaway: beyond skills, the interpersonal tone was the biggest factor in how the process felt.
