I went through an FTI Consultant recruiting sequence where even the “behavioral” portion leaned heavily into project-management scenarios, and it felt difficult.

Recruiter screen — I completed a normal recruiter check-in.
Interview: project management scenarios — The next round focused on how I’d manage projects of different sizes and complexities, including dependency-heavy work and situations with unknown scope, using examples like “how would you handle a larger project vs a smaller one.” Outcome: I didn’t move forward; the key takeaway was that the interview emphasis was less generic behavior and more execution-style project thinking.
