ItalyPosted May 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for a Software Engineer role with easy difficulty overall, but the communication flow and delays made it feel drawn out and frustrating.

Initial recruiter interview — I had a first positive discussion with a recruiter.
References request before client interview — I was asked for references to access the first interview without having had the client interview yet.
Long wait for scheduling — after providing excellent references, about two weeks passed.
Holiday/administrative delay — I learned the HR person was on holiday and my next steps were postponed. Outcome: No offer; even though the interviews felt straightforward, the process stalled due to scheduling and internal delays.
