I experienced a relatively straightforward path focused on SQL/LINUX knowledge, with short online steps over a couple of weeks.

Client/HR intro — An online conversation to present the company and role, then discuss my background, education, and interests.
Technical screening — Questions on Linux and SQL, plus checks on technologies listed in my resume/certifications.
SQL test segment — A Zoom session where I had an about one-hour SQL test; the interviewer emphasized that it wasn’t too hard if I knew SQL. Outcome: No offer; the takeaway is that success depended mostly on having solid, practical SQL (more than deep system design).
