I went into my interviews with the expectation that it would be more than a quick resume check, and it ended up feeling like a structured two-round panel.

I had a technical set where I could explain my depth and also walk through how I plan and think about projects—how I approach breaking work down and making decisions.

The first round stayed more surface-level across a wide range of topics, covering a large portion of the important areas they wanted to see. The second round went deeper, focusing on networking and troubleshooting, with questions that connected back to my work experience. We also covered service concepts including the difference between physical and cloud services, plus virtualization ideas, Linux, and process and thread/kernel
