One of my rounds was centered on system design, and it felt like a focused check on how I’d reason through architecture.

We talked through designing around a REST API and also touched practical engineering basics like data structures and both SQL and NoSQL database concepts.

The discussion widened to serverless API implementation details too—things like how you’d deploy, what an API gateway does, and how a web server fits into the picture. There was also some coverage of Python basics, including data types. The overall difficulty felt average and the interview went smoothly enough that I felt comfortable answering, even though it didn’t result in an offer.
