I interviewed for Software Engineer through a classic sequence of coding evaluation, then a virtual onsite centered on API/system design and collaboration, but it didn’t end in an offer.

Online coding assessment (Hackerrank-style) — a proctored coding challenge as the initial gate.
Recruiter meeting — a check-in about the role and what would come next.
Virtual onsite (3 rounds) — I went through API/system design-style interviews plus a coding session tied to the same API concept, ending with a behavioral interview.
Final wrap-up — a recruiter debrief closed out the onsite. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer; the takeaway is that interviewers could be collaborative, yet the process wasn’t guaranteed to progress after the onsite.
