Melville, NYPosted Apr 2020 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through an average-skill hiring flow starting with a phone screen, followed by a longer technical interview, but I never got an offer and the follow-up timing was frustrating.

Recruiter screen (phone) — I talked through my background and projects in detail, focusing more on what I’d built than on generic strength/weakness questions.
Technical interview — A 2.5-hour session with 3–4 engineers in the room, where the interview felt focused on my practical experience and communication.
Post-interview follow-up — I wasn’t contacted about status until I reached out again about three weeks later.

Outcome: I didn’t move forward; the takeaway was that the interview itself seemed structured, but the process communication lagged.
