Yelp Software Engineer interview experience

TorontoCandidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for a Yelp backend role with an on-site loop that felt like it went reasonably well, and I was left waiting afterward.

On-site: backend HQ loop — I completed an on-site for a backend position tied to their Toronto HQ and came away feeling it went pretty well.
On-site experience check (broader context) — I also heard from others preparing for Yelp’s on-site in the past couple of months and focused on how the day typically runs and what advice might help. Outcome: I didn’t record a confirmed offer here, but the main takeaway from my on-site experience was that it felt positive, even if next steps weren’t immediate.
