I faced a very hard, research-and-depth-heavy interview loop that started with LeetCode-style questions and progressed into Yelp-relevant technical depth plus assessments.

LeetCode-style online coding screen — I completed an online LeetCode-style interview via a link.
1:1 technical with a lead developer — I then had a one-on-one technical interview where I could ask questions about the role and working at Yelp.
More in-depth technical tests — The process continued into deeper technical evaluations.
Yelp problem framing + complexity follow-ups — I was asked questions tied to real Yelp-like problems, including scenarios that required thinking about how ML approaches could map to solution design; there were heavy time-complexity concerns
