Waters Software Engineer interview experience

After that, I went through a personal interview where my background and fit were evaluated. A couple of rounds later, I had an HR conversation as long as I made it through the earlier stages.

What stood out to me was what happened next: after HR, they told me they would hire me off-role first, since it wasn’t initially the exact water role I’d interviewed for. The plan was to judge how I performed and then move me onto the role once they felt I’d settled in. I didn’t end up getting an offer, but the overall structure felt fairly clear and procedural.
