Richland, WAPosted Aug 2019 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for an engineering position with a relatively direct process, but I learned that having the right kind of design experience was a key expectation.

Introductions leading to interviews — I got in through a connection who knew people there; the interview was ultimately conducted by engineering staff (two electrical and one chemical), with the main manager absent.
Experience-fit conversation — The core feedback centered on whether I had enough design experience; I was told I lacked what the role required. Outcome: I did not move forward, and the takeaway was to build concrete design experience before applying.
