Boulder, COPosted Nov 2023 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for a Software Engineer role at Veolia, and while the questions were manageable, the process took time and included both standard recruiter/HR conversations and pre-work.

Initial interview / recruiter or HR — I discussed my background and the role; one process began with a recruiter-style call.
Manager / competency interview — I spent more time explaining my past experiences and role fit.
Online expertise/competency interview — Another journey included a semi-structured online conversation with HR and a head engineer, preceded by an online test a few days before. Outcome: No offer reported; the takeaway was that thorough preparation for both general experience questions and any pre-interview tests mattered.
