Charlottesville, VAPosted Mar 2021 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

The process took me into a longer commitment than I expected.

After an initial Skype meeting with the lab manager and PI, there was a two-day on-site interview.

I was compensated for gas and hotel, and I spent those two days working alongside the lab manager to get a real feel for how the lab operated day to day. That experience made it less abstract and more tangible—rather than just talking about the role, I was effectively immersed in the environment. It felt like a genuinely involved process overall, but manageable in difficulty.
