University of Virginia Research Analyst interview experience

I walked through what I’d done and then got pulled into a deeper discussion—methodologies, the results I’d seen, the challenges I ran into, and the impact I thought the work had.

As we went on, the conversation turned into follow-up questions about my specific contributions. They also asked about pipeline design and my thoughts on future directions, which pushed the discussion beyond just describing what I’d already completed. The whole tone stayed professional and steady, and it felt like they were trying to understand how I think and how I’d operate in the role.
