I connected with the hiring manager and talked through my past experiences, especially where my research and ML work fit into their financial-data context.

The interview asked open-endedly how I could leverage my research experience for financial datasets, which made it feel more like a conversation about translation from methods to domain than a narrow technical quiz.

We also touched on practical planning—whether I could graduate after doing the internship, since they seemed to expect people might return after graduation. Overall it was an average-difficulty interview, and while the topics were grounded, I didn’t end up moving forward to an offer.
