I had a virtual technical interview with a recruiter where the format was surprisingly focused: there was only one question, but it was broken into five parts.

The task involved coding using a data-engineering style workflow with pandas, and the interviewer let me reference documentation while I worked.

Even though it was just “one question,” it still required me to think through the problem in stages rather than writing a single complete solution immediately. The tone was professional and the session was contained, and I felt like the documentation allowance helped me keep moving without getting stuck on syntax-level details. I ultimately didn’t get an offer.
