Amherst, MAPosted Sep 2014 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I applied through an employee referral, and the interview ended up being with the professor tied to the role.

The technical portion focused on my previous background and on the current work in the lab.

I talked through some ideas for research, including my thoughts about current projects happening in the lab and how my interests could connect to them. The interview felt more like a conversation that built on my answers rather than a strict Q&A. The difficulty was average, mainly because the questions required me to tie my background directly to the lab’s existing work. Even without an offer, the overall feel was engaged and interactive.
