I applied online and then got contacted by OSU administrative staff to set up an interview over Skype because the PI was moving in from out of state.

After the Skype interview, I received an email asking me to complete a background check.

Once the check cleared, the admin staff called me to offer the position. The offer conversation included a phone call with the PI to discuss roles, responsibilities, and compensation a bit more, and after that I accepted. A formal offer letter was emailed for signature, then orientation was scheduled and my start date confirmed. The process felt thorough and a little segmented, but it was handled clearly and moved forward step by step.
