My first step was a short, recruiter-led chat that barely took any time.

It opened with introductions, they asked a few technical questions, and then the call wrapped up quickly.

That simplicity was a mixed experience for me. I also felt like I wasn’t given much context about the company, and I wasn’t really encouraged to ask about the interview process or what it was like to work there. The call felt abrupt and a bit unprofessional.

Even though the process didn’t drag, it didn’t lead to an offer. What I remember most is that the initial outreach didn’t feel like it respected my time or curiosity, and that set a tone for the rest of the process.
