I actually met the recruiter at an online job conference focused on alcohol companies.

I applied through their website a couple weeks later, and then I got an email about scheduling an interview.

The interview itself was with a regional manager and lasted about 15 minutes. He seemed genuinely impressed and even said he was wishing me luck since he didn’t have the final say on hiring. Then, about a week after that, I received an email asking me to be ready for a phone call the next day—because it was going to include a job offer.

It was very easy overall, and the timeline felt unusually smooth and decisive from start to finish.
