Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories Software Engineer interview experience

The recruiter asked a set of personal questions that centered on why I wanted to work there and what made me a good fit for the role. It was a straightforward conversation, and the tone stayed pretty conversational throughout.

I remember leaving the call feeling like I’d answered in good faith but also realizing this was mostly fit and motivation rather than deep technical evaluation. I didn’t end up with an offer from that stage, but the whole experience still gave me a clear sense of what they were trying to learn first: whether my reasons for joining matched what they were looking for.
