Salesforce Software Engineer interview experience

I was given a sorted array that included negative and positive integers, and I had to return the same values squared in ascending order.

Instead of doing something straightforward like squaring and then sorting, I was expected to use a two-pointer approach to preserve the sort order efficiently. That constraint made the problem feel more like a test of how well I understood patterns than how fast I could code.

I didn’t receive an offer. Still, the process felt fair and focused—one clear problem with a clear optimal technique behind it.
