Salesforce Software Engineer interview experience

Got offer

Posted May 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I got in touch with a recruiter directly, and the process for the SMTS role felt centered around the online assessment.

The test was on HackerRank with two standard DSA questions, and I had to complete it within 90 minutes.

The recruiter set the expectation up front that they wanted at least an 80% score, and I managed to score 100% by solving both questions. After that, the rest of the process moved quickly enough that I didn’t have to wait forever to hear back.

I received an offer from Salesforce and accepted it. What I remember most was how much the whole loop hinged on the OA performance—once that went well, the momentum carried me straight to the outcome I was hoping for.
