Salesforce Software Engineer interview experience

No offer

Hard

Positive

San Francisco, CAPosted May 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

The interview I had felt relatively relaxed because the interviewer was kind, but the questions were still tough—especially if I measured them against where I was in my background at the time.

Even with the friendly tone, the prompts required more depth and effort than I expected, and I remember feeling slightly challenged during the exchange.

Overall, though, the experience stayed positive. The structure and questioning patterns felt close to what you’d see if you were consistently practicing common LeetCode-style topics.

I ended up not getting an offer, but I left with the sense that it wasn’t about the process being unfair—it was more that the difficulty level caught me just a bit off guard compared to my current stage.
