I had a relaxed, more conversation-driven interview experience for a Software Engineer role with very easy difficulty and no offer, taking place in 2018 and involving early outreach.

Recruiter outreach — I was contacted by a recruiter who wanted to gauge interest and learn about relevant past work.
Follow-up phone screen — a second call covered additional technical abilities, but in a forgiving way given my background.
Meet and greet / final call — I met the team informally and then received a call as the process moved toward an offer. Outcome: No offer; the process emphasized attitude and willingness to learn as much as technical depth.
