Seattle, WAPosted Jul 2021 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I had a phone interview where the recruiter was polite and professional.

The conversation stayed respectful and clear, and they even shared details about the benefits package, which looked impressive.

I didn’t continue because I was already a senior researcher, and the role they were hiring for wasn’t positioned as senior-level. The recruiter said they’d keep my resume in the pool for future opportunities, which made the rejection feel more like a timing/fit issue than a performance one. Overall, I walked away with a positive impression of how they handled it, even though it didn’t move forward.
