This one was hard to shake because the tone shifted almost immediately.

After I cleared the initial screening, I joined a video call with a hiring manager and within the first couple of minutes it felt like they’d already decided. I wasn’t really given space to introduce myself or walk through my experience, and the interviewer came across dismissive and disengaged.

The call ended with feedback that I simply wasn’t interesting to them, which was blunt and surprising compared to how far I’d already made it. I left feeling deflated more than anything else, because the interaction didn’t feel like a real evaluation—it felt like closure.
