MKS Instruments Software Engineer interview experience

Got offer

Easy

Negative

Logan, UTPosted Feb 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I moved unusually fast in the early stages and it ended up being a very tense experience.

After a short non-technical interview, they sent me an offer just a few days later. I was in the middle of making a decision elsewhere, so I asked if I could get two days for myself and my fiancé to get the remaining pay details.

They told me that would be fine, and then when I followed up after that window, the offer was rescinded. It felt like they were under pressure to finalize their top choice quickly, and I was left with the unsettling sense that the timeline mattered more than the commitment they had just made.
