I faced a medium-to-tough technical interview where the manager round still probed lots of fundamentals, spanning nearly the full CS stack.

Technical round (Java coding + fundamentals) — They asked about Java OOPs concepts and gave input/output to guide a coding task.
Managerial round — I was questioned heavily, touching DBMS, data structures, computer networks, OS, and OOPs, with technical follow-ups rather than only behavioral questions. Outcome: I didn’t move forward; the takeaway was to keep every core topic sharp because the later round can still be deeply technical.
