I started with a phone interview that was supposed to be followed by three more rounds.

The first call was fairly straightforward, and the questions were basic enough that I didn’t feel like I needed to research in depth.

After the call ended, I was told I’d hear back, but I never did. I followed up a few times, and the recruiter didn’t come back with the next steps.

Eventually it became clear the process had stalled out completely, and I didn’t get an offer. The awkward part was that the phone screen felt normal, and then the silence afterward made the whole experience feel unfinished.
