I had a take-home project that wasn’t overly complicated, followed by a longer interview that lasted about an hour and a half.

The interview was with three technical people plus a manager, and the exact experience depended on the team I would’ve joined.

Because the team dynamic shaped what questions came up, it didn’t feel like a cookie-cutter interview. I didn’t get an offer, but the combination of a take-home project and multi-person technical discussion made it feel like they were seriously evaluating how I think rather than just testing trivia.
