The application started on the company website, where I had to upload my resume and write a cover letter.

The following week I had a brief online interview, then the process moved into an Excel assignment.

The assignment was the centerpiece: I received it after the interview and had to complete it within a couple of hours. It felt like a practical test of my ability to handle the kind of work they needed, and it was straightforward in the sense that it was clearly deliverable.

Because there wasn’t a mention of a later stage, what stuck with me was how quickly the process turned from conversation to a take-home style evaluation.
