I went through an interview with the hiring manager, then later had a second, more in-depth call with the same person.

After that second conversation, I wasn’t selected to keep moving forward.

The process itself felt average—no elaborate stages, just two steps focused on how I would fit the role based on discussion with the hiring manager. I didn’t get the offer.

What I remember most was how quickly it narrowed down after the second call, and how little beyond that there was to learn what specifically drove the decision.
